Out of the pouch you'll find this plastic membrane with a one way valve for giving the mouth to mouth reanimation to a non breathing person. The sides are marked.

 "OPERATOR SIDE" is the side for the rescuer and "TOP" points toward the nose of the patient.

 The barrier avoids direct contact between you (the first responder) and the patient and therefor avoids the risk of desease transmission. Further it helps you not to hesitate giving the urgently necesary help.
 

 

 The use is this simple::

 1) Unpacking,
 2) Apply mask on the patients face,

 3) the rubber bands hold the mask in place during the reanimation.

Combined with effective chest compressions you are giving the life saving Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
